Ask B-Dog

Terms of Service

Last updated October 24, 2026. These Terms replace the version last updated October 11, 2026.

1. Who we are and accepting these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and B-Dog Ventures LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“B-Dog”, “we”, “us”). They cover your use of Ask B-Dog at bdog.app and any related emails, pages and services (the “Service”).

You accept these Terms when you create an account, check the box at signup, or use the Service. If you accept for a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business, and “you” means the business. Accepting online has the same effect as signing on paper.

Our Privacy Policy and EULA are part of these Terms. If they conflict, these Terms control, except that the EULA controls the details of the software license in section 12.

These Terms replace the Terms last updated October 11, 2026. If you joined the waitlist under the earlier Terms, these Terms apply when you create an account or turn on a paid feature. Nothing was charged under the earlier Terms.

2. The Service

B-Dog connects to your QuickBooks Online account and helps you get paid for invoices your customers owe. It includes:

  • Money Leak Report (free). A report of what your customers owe you, how late it is, and who pays slowest. It needs no payment card. We may change or end free features with notice.
  • Fetch (paid). B-Dog drafts payment reminder emails to your customers about invoices in your QuickBooks account, sends only the ones you approve, and tracks replies and payments.
  • Nose (paid). Slow-payer insights that show which customers are paying later over time.

B-Dog is a software tool. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting or collection advice. We cannot promise that any customer will pay any invoice. Example figures on our website show how the Service works and are not a promise of results.

We may improve, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance, and you may cancel.

3. Eligibility and accounts

The Service is for businesses only, not personal, family or household use. By signing up you confirm you are buying it for business purposes. You must be at least 18, able to form a binding contract, and have the right to connect the QuickBooks company you link.

Give us accurate information and keep it current. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account, including by people you invite. Owners and admins can invite users and set their roles. Tell us right away at security@bdog.app if you think your account has been used without permission.

4. QuickBooks connection and your data

You connect QuickBooks Online by signing in on Intuit’s own page. B-Dog never sees your QuickBooks password. B-Dog’s software only reads your QuickBooks data. It never changes your books, creates transactions or moves money. You can also remove B-Dog’s access at any time from your Intuit account.

You own your data. You let us use it only to provide, secure and support the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or your customers’ data. For the personal information of your customers (such as names and email addresses), B-Dog acts as your service provider and handles it only on your behalf for the Service.

Disconnecting and deleting

  • Delete your data in Settings: we revoke B-Dog’s QuickBooks access and delete your synced data, reminders and reports right away.
  • Disconnect QuickBooks: access is revoked right away, and your synced data is deleted 30 days later.
  • Broken connection: if your QuickBooks connection stays broken for 30 days without being reconnected, your synced data is deleted.

Deleted data can remain in our providers’ backups until those expire. Emails already sent cannot be recalled.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your QuickBooks data, including invoice amounts, due dates and customer email addresses. B-Dog checks balances against QuickBooks before sending, but reminders reflect what your QuickBooks account shows. If Intuit limits or ends our access, we may need to pause or change the Service.

5. Reminder emails

You control what is sent

Every reminder waits for your OK before it goes out. B-Dog drafts each reminder and sends it only after you approve it. If you do not approve a reminder, it is not sent. Once a reminder is sent, it cannot be recalled.

Who the email is from

Reminders are sent in your business’s name, for example “Miller Plumbing”, from a B-Dog sending address. Replies come to a B-Dog address. B-Dog forwards each reply to you and pauses further reminders to that customer until you review it. Every reminder includes a footer saying it was sent by your business using B-Dog billing software.

B-Dog is not a debt collector

B-Dog is software you use to contact your own customers about your own invoices. B-Dog does not collect, receive or hold payments, does not buy or take assignment of invoices, and only contacts the email address your QuickBooks account has for that customer (the invoice’s billing email, or the customer’s main email if the invoice has none). Payment links go to your own QuickBooks payment page or a payment link you provide.

Your responsibilities

You are the sender of every reminder. You agree that:

  • you have a business relationship with each customer B-Dog emails on your behalf, and the right to contact them about the invoices included;
  • the invoices are your own, accurate and actually owed, and not in dispute unless you have marked them so;
  • you will not use B-Dog to collect debts owed to anyone else, or to send threats, including threats of legal action or credit reporting;
  • you will review drafts and any text you edit for accuracy and tone;
  • you will follow the laws that apply to your communications with your customers, including laws on billing, payment reminders and consumer debt if any of your customers are individuals;
  • you will stop contacting a customer who asks you to stop, and you will honor unsubscribe requests (B-Dog does this automatically for reminders it sends).

AI and fixed wording

B-Dog uses AI to help word reminder drafts and to suggest labels for customer replies. The AI receives only a limited set of details, as described on our Security page. AI can make mistakes, which is one reason you review drafts. B-Dog adds fixed wording to every reminder that AI and edits cannot change: the footer above.

Sending limits

B-Dog limits how often reminders go out. By default it sends no more than one email to the same customer within 5 days, and you can change that spacing in your reminder settings. We may pause or decline sending for your account to protect deliverability, to follow the law, or if we see signs of misuse.

6. Free trial, billing and automatic renewal

Free plan. The Money Leak Report is free and needs no payment card.

Free trial. When you turn on Fetch, you start a 14-day free trial. You enter a payment card on Stripe’s secure checkout page to start it. You will not be charged during the trial. Each business gets one free trial.

Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel before your trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends. Your card is then charged the monthly price shown at checkout ($79 for Founders, $149 for Standard, see section 7), plus any applicable tax. The subscription renews automatically every month, charged on the same day each month, until you cancel.

We email you a reminder at least 7 days before your trial ends, with the date and amount of the first charge and how to cancel. After you sign up we also email a confirmation with these terms and how to cancel, and once a year we email a reminder that your subscription is active.

Your consent. Before you start the trial, checkout shows the trial length, the price, that the subscription renews monthly until canceled, and how to cancel. You agree to this by checking the box. The box is never pre-checked.

Payment. Stripe, Inc. processes payments. B-Dog never sees or stores your full card number. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal. If a payment fails, we will email you and retry the charge. Reminder sending pauses until payment succeeds. If payment is not made within 10 days of the first failed charge, we may end your paid plan. Your free features remain available.

Taxes. Prices do not include sales tax. We add any tax that applies where you are located.

7. Founders pricing and price changes

PlanMonthly priceWho gets it
Founders$79The first 50 businesses to complete checkout and start a Fetch free trial
Standard$149Everyone after the first 50

Founders price lock. If you are one of the first 50, your price stays at $79 a month for 2 years from your first charge, as long as your subscription stays active. A founding spot counts when checkout completes and is not held during an abandoned checkout. If you cancel during your free trial, your spot is released. If you cancel after your first charge and later restart, the Founders price does not come back, and the price then in effect applies. The count shown on our website is the same count checkout uses.

After the 2 years. Your subscription moves to the Standard price then in effect (currently $149 a month). We will email you at least 30 days before that change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies.

Other price changes. For subscriptions not under a price lock, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change takes effect, and it applies from your next billing period after that notice. The notice will say how to cancel. You may cancel before the change applies.

8. 60-day pays-for-itself guarantee and refunds

If payments after your reminders don’t add up to more than B-Dog costs you within 60 days of your first charge, we will refund everything you have paid us.

How we count. “Payments after your reminders” means payments recorded in your QuickBooks account for an invoice, after B-Dog sent a reminder you approved about that invoice, received within 60 days of your first charge. Payments later reversed, refunded or charged back do not count. “Costs you” means the subscription fees you paid us in that same period, not counting tax. Your B-Dog dashboard shows this amount. If you disagree with it, we will go through your QuickBooks records with you.

To qualify:

  1. Your QuickBooks account stayed connected during those 60 days, apart from short interruptions that were our fault or that you fixed within 3 days.
  2. At least one reminder was sent through B-Dog.
  3. You ask for the refund by emailing hello@bdog.app within 60 days of your first charge. We measure the amounts as of the date you ask, or the end of the 60 days if that comes first.

We issue refunds, including tax paid, to your original payment method within 10 business days of approving the request. A guarantee refund also cancels your subscription. Each business can use the guarantee once.

Apart from this guarantee, payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. When you cancel, you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for.

9. Cancellation, suspension and termination

You can cancel online at any time from your profile menu: choose Account & billing, then Manage subscription & payment method, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. You can also cancel by emailing hello@bdog.app. We act on email cancellations promptly, and one sent before your trial ends stops the first charge.

  • Cancel during the trial: you are not charged.
  • Cancel after the trial: your subscription ends at the close of the current monthly period. You keep paid features until then.

When a paid plan ends, reminders stop and your free features continue. You can also delete your account and data at any time, as described in section 4.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, misuse the Service, fail to pay, or put other users, your customers or our sending reputation at risk. When the reason allows, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end the Service for everyone, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.

These sections continue after the Terms end: section 4 (data handling after closure), section 5 (your responsibilities), section 6 (amounts already owed), section 8 (refunds already due), and sections 12 to 14.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • send reminders about invoices you know are not owed, are disputed, or belong to another business;
  • harass, threaten or mislead anyone, or impersonate another person or business;
  • send marketing, spam or any message that is not about an existing invoice;
  • contact people who have asked not to be contacted;
  • break any law, or help anyone else do so;
  • try to get around B-Dog’s sending limits, approval checks or security, or access another account’s data;
  • reverse-engineer, copy or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product; or
  • overload the Service or use automated means to access it, except through features we provide.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on other companies to run. The current list, and what each receives, is on our Security page and in our Privacy Policy:

ProviderWhat it does for B-Dog
IntuitQuickBooks Online, which you connect
SupabaseDatabase and sign-in
VercelHosting
StripeSubscription checkout and billing
ResendSending email and receiving customer replies
AnthropicAI wording for reminders and reply labels, when reminders are on

Your use of QuickBooks is governed by your agreement with Intuit. We are not responsible for outages or changes at Intuit, Stripe or other providers. If one of them changes or limits what we can do, we may need to change the Service.

QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc. Ask B-Dog is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.

12. Ownership, feedback and license

We own the Service, including its software, design and content. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your business while your account is active and you follow these Terms. The EULA adds detail on that license.

You own your data and the text of reminders you write or edit. You give us permission to process them only to run, secure and support the Service.

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

13. Disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity

Disclaimer. Except for the guarantee in section 8, and to the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any email will be delivered, or that any customer will pay.

Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, unpaid invoices or lost customer relationships; and
  • our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100.

These limits do not apply to liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to liability that cannot be limited by law. They also do not reduce the refund owed under section 8.

Indemnity. You will defend and hold harmless B-Dog from claims by third parties, including your customers, that arise from:

  • the content of reminders you approve;
  • invoices that are inaccurate or not owed; or
  • your breach of these Terms or of law.

We will tell you promptly about any claim, let you control the defense with counsel reasonably acceptable to us, and cooperate at your expense. You will not settle a claim in a way that admits fault for B-Dog without our written consent. This indemnity does not cover claims to the extent caused by B-Dog’s own breach of these Terms or its gross negligence or willful misconduct.

14. Governing law and disputes

Minnesota law governs these Terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Before filing a claim, each side agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days after written notice. Send notice to hello@bdog.app. We will send ours to the email address on your account.

If it is not resolved, the dispute will be decided only by the state courts located in Minnesota or the federal court for the District of Minnesota, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Either side may go to court at any time for urgent relief to protect its intellectual property or confidential information. Either side may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

To the extent the law allows, each side may bring claims only on its own behalf, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action.

15. Changes, notices and general terms

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect, explain what is changing and how to cancel, and post the new date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not agree, you may cancel before then. A change never shortens a price lock or a guarantee period already running, and we will not make a material change to a paid subscription without that notice.

Notices. We send notices to the email address on your account. You send notices to hello@bdog.app, or by mail to the address in section 16. You agree to receive notices and records from us electronically.

Everything else. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the EULA are the whole agreement about the Service. If a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part is not a waiver of it. Neither side is liable for a delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, except for payment obligations. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business. No one other than you and B-Dog has rights under these Terms.
